Patients not attending appointments
We have had a rise in patients not attending appointments. We would like to politely remind patients to please cancel any unwanted appointments or rearrange if the pre-booked appointment is no longer convenient.
Missed appointments reduce our clinical capacity and could have potentially been used for another patient to be seen. Thank you.

Telephone System
The practice now has a new telephone system. This means all calls will be handled by a central reception team who will handle calls for both White Lane and Belgrave patients and deal with queries and book appointments accordingly at both sites. The reception team are our current staff and have access to clinical systems at both sites so patients will still receive the same excellent service.
The practice has increased the opening hours of our telephones to improve patient access. We have also increased the number of telephone lines and the number of call handlers to ensure calls are answered quicker at busy times.
The practice now has a dedicated prescription/medication order line - Press Option 2 when you call. This takes calls away from the appointment line and makes ordering repeat medication simpler. Please call between 10am and 12 noon to order medication.
The reception team are trained and instructed to ask certain questions to ensure patients see or speak to the most relevant clinician. Please give as many details as possible about your inquiry or condition to ensure the best possible and most effective outcome for your care.
Calls may be recorded for training and monitoring purposes. Anonymous call data may also be stored so the practice can monitor, review and improve service and access.
Contact Numbers
The New system is all implemented electronically to avoid patient inconvenience. This means patients can continue to access the practice by the current telephone numbers.

Prescription / Medication Order line
The prescription / medication order line will open 10am - 12noon Monday to Friday. It is important for effective medication ordering that patients order repeat medications in good time by either requesting online, completing a request format the practice or via their nominated pharmacy. Patients who are housebound or have urgent need for medications (less than 24hr supply) can use the medication ordering line. It is important for effective signing and dispensing of medication that all patients have a nominated pharmacy. This means GPs and ANPs can sign and send prescriptions electronically. If you do not have a nominated pharmacy our receptionists may ask you to nominate one, Please consider doing so.
