DROPPING OFF SAMPLES

If you have been asked to bring in a sample to the surgery then please ensure that it is delivered to us before 12:30pm. The bottle should have your first and surname, date of birth and NHS number written clearly

Please Note

The practice will NOT ACCEPT samples brought in after 12:30pm as we have no means of delivering them to the hospital laboratory for processing.

If your first name, surname, date of birth and NHS number are not on the sample the hospital laboratory will refuse to process it so please double check

URINE SAMPLES

If you are coming to see a clinician about any of the following symptoms then please ask at reception for a sample bottle when you check in as you will need to provide a urine sample during your appointment.

  • Diabetes Review
  • Suspected Urinary Tract Infection
  • Abdominal Pain
  • You are currently pregnant

PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept urine samples that have not been requested by a clinician except in the above circumstances when you actually have an appointment.
